Founded in Fuzhou, China, in 2014 by Fujian Normal University faculty member Wu Jinying, Fuzhou SOARFREE Information Technology Co., Ltd. specializes in electronic shelf labels and smart retail solutions. As a recognized High and New Technology Enterprise in China, we build on expertise in the Internet of Things (IoT) and wireless communications to help retailers digitalize their operations.
Our portfolio brings together LCD electronic shelf labels, EPD electronic paper labels, communication gateways, and software platforms. With in-house hardware and software development, we help retailers manage prices and product information more efficiently, expand in-store marketing opportunities, and support connected store operations.

Soarfree has completed two rounds of financing in 2020 and 2022, significantly enhancing its R&D capabilities and expanding the market capability from domestic China to the overseas market in 2023.
SOARFREE has received provincial recognition under Fujian’s Specialized and Innovative Enterprise and Technology Little Giant programs, and has been included in Fuzhou’s reserve list of companies being cultivated for public listing.

University lecturer Wu Jinying developed an electronic shelf label project at the Menggongchang incubator and founded SOARFREE. That same year, the company introduced its first-generation LCD electronic shelf labels, bringing digital displays to the shelf edge to support store operations and the shopping experience.
SOARFREE established complementary LCD and EPD e-paper product lines, broadening its portfolio for a wider range of retail settings. Differentiated display solutions addressed diverse needs in information presentation, store environments, and retail operations, supporting continued market development.
SOARFREE launched its third-generation electronic shelf label solution and introduced a cloud-managed media model for LCD shelf labels. This expanded the role of shelf-edge displays beyond pricing to promotional content and brand communication. Strategic partnerships with major media companies opened up new opportunities for media applications in retail.
SOARFREE expanded its business across China, building a nationwide sales and service network supported by local project delivery and maintenance capabilities. The company completed its Series A funding round and grew its customer base to more than 1,000, providing a foundation for further product development and business growth.
SOARFREE introduced a single-chip, dual-screen architecture, using one chip to drive two displays for greater hardware efficiency and improved device cost performance. The company also completed its Series B funding round, supporting further investment in research, product development, and market expansion.
SOARFREE introduced battery-free EPD shelf labels and ultra-thin LCD labels capable of showing independent content on two screens. Across the industry, annual deployments exceeded 5,000 stores as retail digitalization continued to advance. SOARFREE also formally began its international expansion, signing customers in markets including the United States and Australia.
SOARFREE continued to develop its global business and was included in the city's priority reserve list of companies being supported toward a public listing. Its fourth-generation integrated gateway introduced Wi-Fi 6 support, improving connection stability, concurrent device handling, and signal coverage for larger retail deployments.
SOARFREE's international business reached more than 50 countries, with projects across over 1,000 cities worldwide and cumulative electronic shelf label deployments exceeding 10 million units. Building on its product portfolio and technical services, the company continued to strengthen customer relationships and support retail digitalization through technology innovation.
